Quran Memorizing Scholarship
This year, Dompet Dhuafa USA are raising funds to give scholarships for children to become a hafidh/hafidha (memorizer of the whole Quran). These children come from impoverished communities who are struggling to access Islamic education. We are partnering with our branch in Riau Islands, specifically in Batam city to provide this Quran memorizing program for the community.
Not only will they teach them how to memorize the Quran, but the instructors will also help students to learn hadith of the Rasulullah SAW. It is hoped that with this educational program, it can also be the means for the students’ development of good moral character and become future empowered leaders at zero cost!
The goals of this program are:
- To increase imaan and taqwa of the children who are struggling to find access to Islamic Education.
- To prepare hafidh/hafidhah of Quran for the future generations.
- To create future leaders who will have great akhlaq and Islamic education.
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “When the human being dies, his deeds end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.”

In sha Allah, by participating in this campaign, these deeds can serve as sadaqah jaariyah which will keep flowing to us in the Akhirah.
