Ramadan

Ramadan has arrived! The month in which Muslims have been waiting for has arrived, where Muslims around the world are observing Ramadan and celebrating Eid ul Fitr! It is truly one of the most blessed times of the year.

Ramadan is a holy month filled with Allah SWT’s blessings, forgiveness, grace, and love. According to QS Al-Baqarah 183, all believing Muslims are required to fast during the month of Ramadan in order to become pious.

“O believers! Fasting is prescribed for you—as it was for those before you—so perhaps you will become mindful ˹of Allah˺.”

Furthermore, there are numerous practices that you can participate in during the month of Ramadan, including:

  1. Read the Quran

In the hadith HR. At-Tirmidhi, narrated by Ibn Mas’ud, Rasulullah SAW said, “Whoever reads one letter from the Quran, for him one goodness, and one kindness is rewarded tenfold. I didn’t say that alif lam mim is one letter; but alif is one letter, lam is one letter and mim is one letter.”

  1. Performing Sunnah Prayers and Night Prayers (Tahajjud Prayers)

In the hadith HR. Bukhari and Muslim. “Indeed, Allah has made the fasting of Ramadan obligatory and I have made it a sunnah for you to pray at night. So whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan and prays sunnah prayers at night out of faith and hoping for a reward from Allah SWT, he will come out of his sins as on the day he was born to his mother.”

  1. Donate to charity

Allah SWT promises rewards to those who enjoy donating to charity. Giving alms during Ramadan has many benefits, including erasing sins, receiving shade on the last day, blessing wealth, and receiving multiple rewards. In the month of Ramadan, your charity and good deeds will be multiplied by Allah SWT!

These are just a few of the positive things you can do during Ramadan. Dompet Dhuafa USA is committed to helping you do these good deeds through a variety of our programs and to make sure that everybody can have happiness in their Ramadan ibadah and as well as their Eid ul Fitr.
