Dompet Dhuafa USA organizes the Qurbani Giving program every year to assist the Indonesian diaspora living in North America, to perform Qurbani. These qurbani animals will later be distributed to underprivileged communities in Indonesia’s deepest, most remote, and least developed areas.

The Qurbani Giving program’s procurement and distribution of Qurbani animals includes a quality assessment that includes four parameters: standardized weight, good physical and health conditions, a slaughtering process that adheres to Islamic law, and accurate distribution of Qurbani meat.

Dompet Dhuafa recruits a quality control implementation team whose job it is to monitor and control the health and weight of the Qurbani animals, distribution locations and potential recipients of the Qurbani meat, the slaughtering process of the qurbani animals, as well as prepare reports, documentation, evaluations, and recommendations.

In 2023, Dompet Dhuafa USA distributed 81 goats, 4 cows, and 17 cows 1/7 with a total of 1,260 Qurbani Giving beneficiaries. This year, Dompet Dhuafa USA distributed qurbani animals to Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province, Serang City and Lebak Regency, Banten Province, Buru Regency, and South Buru Regency, Maluku Province, Bombana Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, Flores Regency. East East Nusa Tenggara Province, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta Province, Jember Regency, Lamongan Regency, East Java Province, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province.
