In our commitment to distribute fidyah funds that the donors pay, we put our focus in assisting those in need across Indonesia. The Riau Islands and Bengkulu regions are particularly close to our hearts, as we expand our food drive program to offer aid and support to their local communities.
We launched our fidyah distribution in the Riau Islands and Bengkulu regions. By partnering with the Dompet Dhuafa Kepulauan Riau team. We worked together to distribute a $743 fidyah funds that benefited 220 people.
The distribution of fidyah goes beyond groceries and boxed meals to also include rice distribution. A total of 150 kg of rice was distributed through the ATM Beras, a joint program between Dompet Dhuafa USA and Dompet Dhuafa Kepulauan Riau.
The ATM Beras program has had a significant impact since 2022, in assisting those in need by ensuring that essential food items like rice are delivered to individuals and families facing difficulties. This program not only provides sustenance but also fosters a sense of community and unity during challenging times.
The fidyah distribution took place at 7 locations across the Riau Islands. One of the beneficiaries included 100 flood victims in Ranai, Natuna. Apart from Ranai, Natuna, distribution also took place in Tanjungpinang, Sekupang, Sei Beduk, and Tanjung Uma.
The partnership between Dompet Dhuafa USA and Dompet Dhuafa Kepulauan Riau showcases the strength of collaboration in making a positive impact. By employing innovative solutions such as the ATM Beras, we can continue to offer support and bring hope to those who need it most.
In each of these locations, the Fidyah distribution brought not just relief but also a sense of community coming together in times of need. The recipients, many of whom had been affected by the recent floods, found solace in the support they received from this program.

Besides the Riau Islands, we also distributed fidyah funds in Bengkulu. Our subsequent partnership was with Dompet Dhuafa Bengkulu, benefiting a total of 384 recipients. The distribution took place at 13 orphanages and at Pagar Deal, Selebar District, Bengkulu City.
Dompet Dhuafa Bengkulu managed the distribution process for over a month. This collaboration showcased the impact of compassion and united actions in fostering a compassionate and inclusive society for everyone.
